Großschreibung in Briefen
In personal letters, 2nd-person forms du/dich/dir/… are sometimes capitalized as a mark of respect. "Ich" always stays lowercase mid-sentence — only English "I" is always capitalized.
Ellipse im Dialog
In colloquial speech "ich" is often dropped in replies: „Komme gleich!" instead of „Ich komme gleich!"
